ST. LOUIS, Mo. – It was a strong offensive performance that led the Lions (4-3, 2-1 AMC) to an 81-72 win over St. Louis College of Pharmacy (2-6, 0-3 AMC) on Saturday afternoon.
The Lions led from wire to wire and assisted on 21 of their 31 made baskets in the game, led by Kortland Martin who had a career-high 10 assists.
Konstantin Dotsenko picked up right where he left off in the Central Baptist game, leading all scorers with 27 points on 50 percent shooting from the field and 6-of-10 from behind the arc. The Lions shot 47 percent from the field as a team, 56 percent in the first half alone.
After missing Tuesday's game, Bryan Battle came back strong with 19 points on 7-of-9 shooting from the field. He was one of four Lions to pull down four rebounds in the game.
Jordan Hayes rounded out the double-digit scorers with 10 points, and Hunter Scurlock had a team-high seven rebounds off the bench.
The Lions will have the week off but will be back in action next Saturday when they return home to take on Fisk University. Tipoff is scheduled for 3 p.m.
