HENDERSON, Tenn. – It was a tough outing for the Lions basketball team (7-22, 5-16 AMC) on Saturday, falling 81-49 to No. 3 Missouri Baptist (26-2, 18-2 AMC) on senior day.
After winning four of their previous five games, the Lions just couldn't get it going against one of the best teams in the nation, shooting just 34 percent from the field and giving up 15 3-pointers to the visitors.
Jalen Thompson was able to have a solid afternoon in his final home game, scoring a team-high 20 points and knocking down four of six from deep.
Francis Agbata was the only other Lion to score in double digits, nearly getting a second straight double-double with 10 points and nine rebounds.
Shamir Rolle ended his final home game in a Lions uniform with six rebounds and five points.
The Lions will travel to Park University on Thursday for their season finale. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
