HENDERSON, Tenn. – The Lady Lions basketball team (26-2, 20-2 AMC) shot 50 percent from the field on Saturday and defeated Missouri Baptist (7-19, 6-16 AMC) 85-46 on senior day.
Just two days removed from scoring a career-high 31 points against St. Louis College of Pharmacy, Haylee Croom did it again on Saturday, adding 14 rebounds to her tally, while not even stepping on the floor in the fourth quarter.
Croom went 11-for-15 from the field and knocked down nine free throws en route to her double-double.
It was an efficient day on the defensive side of the ball as well, as the Lady Lions forced the visiting Spartans to shoot just 32 percent and turn the ball over 20 times, while only giving it up six times themselves.
Carrie Hatchel ended her final regular-season home game with 15 points, and Reagen Floyd came away with 10 points.
Sandrea Sylman scored eight in her final regular-season home game.
The Lady Lions have two road games to close out the season, first against Park University on Thursday at 5:30 p.m., followed by Stephens College on Saturday at 1 p.m.
