The visitors played a strong first half, knocking down just short of 50 percent of their shots, and they took a 30-24 lead heading into the break. They forced the Pirates to shoot just over 20 percent from the field, but free throws kept the hosts close heading into halftime.
It was all Park in the second half, though, holding the Lions to just one point through the first six minutes of the period.
While the Lions would outshoot the Pirates in the game, a 44 percent mark from the 3-point line and second-chance points led the home squad to the win.
Freed-Hardeman was led by Kortland Martin, who had a game-high 24 points, and was the only Lion to finish in double digits.
Ben Eke and Silas Clark each finished with six points, and Francis Agbata led the Lions is rebounds with seven.
