HENDERSON, Tenn. – After holding a seven-point halftime lead, the Lions (11-5, 8-3 AMC) were unable to keep their undefeated home streak alive after falling 101-96 to Harris-Stowe (11-6, 6-4 AMC) on Saturday afternoon.

The Lions kept control of the first 20 minutes, outshooting the Hornets 45 percent to 42 percent and knocking down seven from behind the arc compared to just four for Harris-Stowe.

In the second half, though, Harris-Stowe got hot from deep, knocking down eight in the period, including five from Romeo Bouie, who didn't miss a single shot he took.

While the Lions still outshot the Hornets, free throws ended up being the final straw. Harris-Stowe was able to knock down key shots from the line, while FHU struggled from the charity stripe throughout the contest.

It was a big night for Bryan Battle who scored a team and career-high 31 points while pulling down 12 rebounds for the double-double.

Kortland Martin wasn't too far behind with 29 points, and he added seven assists. Konstantin Dotsenko rounded out the double-digit scorers with 19 points in just 22 minutes of action.

The Lions will be off for a week before travelling to Park next Saturday. Tip-off is scheduled for 3 p.m.
