Lady Lions stay unbeaten with 3-1 win

PARAGOULD, Ark. – The Lady Lions volleyball team (6-0) was able to stay unbeaten with a season sweep over Crowley's Ridge (1-8) on Tuesday night, knocking them off in four sets (23-25, 25-17, 25-20, 25-15).

It was a tough loss for the Lady Lions in the first set. They led 16-11 mid-way through, but the Pioneers were able to storm back to get the win. It was all FHU after that, though, taking the next three sets to earn the win.

It was a strong night for senior libero Reilly Fulton, who had 30 digs for the sixth time in her career.

The Lady Lions were led offensively by Claire Walker and Kacey Donegan, who had 18 and 16 kills, respectively. Emma Self had 32 assists, and Allie Humphry followed with 19.

The Lady Lions will be back in action on Friday when they compete in the Eutectics Classic in St. Louis. Their first game will be at 5 p.m. against Cottey College, followed by a matchup against Health Sciences & Pharmacy at 7 p.m.
