MCKENZIE, Tenn. – The Lions basketball team (9-5, 4-4 MSC) fell 104-83 to Bethel (7-8, 2-8 MSC) in their makeup game on Monday evening.

The Wildcats came out firing on all cylinders against the Lions defense, shooting 70 percent from the field and nearly 77 percent from behind the arc, taking a 59-42 lead over the Lions into the halftime break.

While the offense slowed down for Bethel, and the Lions shot over 55 percent from the field in the second half, the deficit was too large for the Lions to overcome.

Kortland Martin led the Lions in scoring in his return to the court after missing Saturday's game with 17 points.

John Musselwhite finished the contest with 15 points, and Luka Filipovic scored 13.

The Lions are scheduled to take on Campbellsville on Thursday evening. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m.
