LEBANON, Tenn. – The Lady Lions volleyball team (6-13, 1-9 MSC) fell in straight sets (14-25, 13-25, 15-25) on Tuesday against Cumberland University (22-7, 7-3 MSC).

The Lady Lions struggled to get into a rhythm early, but in the second and third sets, they were able to jump out to quick leads. The Phoenix, though, would match those quick starts with strong runs, and when they took the lead, they wouldn't give it back up.

Allie Humphry continued her strong season as the setter with 18 assists in the contest. Kacey Donegan was strong defensively with 14 digs to go along with seven kills.

The Lady Lions will close out their five-game road trip on Thursday when they travel to Fisk University. Game time is set for 6 p.m.
