Box Score MARIETTA, Ga. – The Lions (11-8, 6-7 MSC) came up short against Life University (8-8, 4-8 MSC) on Thursday night, falling 72-64.
The Lions defense did a good job of forcing turnovers and tough shots, but strong shooting and clutch rebounding from the Running Eagles led to the win for the home team.
Life was able to get up by as many as 11 points in the second half, but a 6-0 run led by Jeremiah Alexander cut the game to five points with under four minutes remaining. But Life was able to keep getting to the rim and knock down tough shots, not allowing the Lions a chance to get it to a one-possession game.

The Lions will be back in action on Saturday when they take on Martin Methodist in Pulaski. Tip-off is set for 4 p.m.
