MCKENZIE, Tenn. – The Lady Lions volleyball team (15-11, 4-8 MSC) fell 3-1 (17-25, 25-19, 19-25, 21-25) to Bethel (8-9, 5-7 MSC) in the team's second matchup of the season on Thursday night.

The Wildcats got off to a hot start with the eight-point, first-set win, but the Lady Lions were able to rally to tie the match 1-1 after taking the second set.

Bethel came back strong, though, taking a 7-6 lead in the third set and never looking back until they were able to seal the win.

Claire Walker led the way offensively with 12 kills. Emma Self finished with 17 assists, followed by Allie Humphry with 15.

Reilly Fulton recorded 13 digs in the match.

The Lady Lions will conclude their four-game road trip on Saturday when they visit Cumberland University. Game time is set for 12 noon.
