Box Score COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lady Lions volleyball team (12-8, 1-4 MSC) fell in straight sets (25-7, 26-24, 25-21) to Lindsey Wilson (8-1, 6-0 MSC) on Sunday afternoon to close out their first Mid-South Conference road trip of the season.
After a lopsided first set, the Lady Lions came out strong in the second set, trailing by as many as five points, but rallying to tie the set at 24-24 before the Raiders were able to score the final two points to take a 2-0 lead.
The third set was much of the same, with Lindsey Wilson never giving the Lady Lions a chance to make a run before going on to win 3-0.
The Lady Lions were led offensively by Kacey Donegan, who finished the contest with 13 kills.
Reilly Fulton finished the game with 16 digs and seven assists, and Emma Self had 16 assists in the match.
The Lady Lions will return home on Thursday when they take on rival Bethel University. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
