Box Score 2 HENDERSON, Tenn. – The Lady Lions volleyball team (3-3) earned two sweeps on Tuesday night, knocking off Crowley's Ridge (1-4) 3-0 (25-11, 25-14, 25-12), followed by a dominating win over NCAA Division II opponent Lane College (1-5) 3-0 (25-14, 25-11, 25-8).
It was a career night for junior Kacey Donegan, who recorded her 1,000th-career kill in the second set against Crowley's Ridge. She would go on to finish the match with 12 kills at a 36-percent clip along with nine aces and seven digs.
Allie Humphry had yet another double-double, putting up 40 assists and 14 digs, and Emma Campbell finished with 14 digs as well.
In their second game of the day, the Lady Lions dismantled Lane College, who was coming off a win against Crowley's Ridge in the game before.
After winning the first two sets by double digits, they held the Dragons to just eight points in the third set to complete the sweep.
Donegan finished the game with 14 kills at a 33-percent rate along with 11 digs for the double-double. Claire Walker followed with 10 kills.
Humphry came away with 21 assists, and Campbell had 10 digs.
The Lady Lions will begin Mid-South Conference play on Friday when they host Pikeville University. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
