Box Score HENDERSON, Tenn– In a game where both teams struggled to find the basket, the Freed-Hardeman Lady Lions women's basketball team lost to the Lindsey Wilson Blue Raiders 69-58 Thursday night in Columbia.
Despite a hot start from the Lady Lions (14-6, 6-6 MSC), the Blue Raiders (11-7, 6-4 MSC) finished the opening period on a 6-0 run, leading 19-13 at the end of the first quarter. The Lady Lions picked up the defensive pressure in the second quarter, outscoring Lindsey Wilson 15-11, but they trailed 30-28 at the half.
The Lady Lions shooting woes continued into the second half, shooting just 3-16, as they were outscored 19-8 in the third quarter. They made a late comeback bid in the fourth quarter, but it proved to be too much to overcome as the Lady Lions fell 69-58.
Leading scorer Alyssa LeMay recorded a double-double, putting up 23 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. Reagan Floyd and Kaylee Odom each added 10 points as the only other Lady Lions in double figures.
