Box Score The Freed-Hardeman University Lady Lions (18-11, 10-11 MSC) fell to the University of Pikeville (17-11, 11-10 MSC) Thursday night by a score of 71-60.
During the first quarter, the lead went back and forth between the two teams. The Lady Lions kept the game close, but Pikeville led 39-32 at halftime. The Lady Lions shot 52% from the field and only made 20% of threes and 42% of freethrows.
In the third quarter, the Lady Lions tried to keep the score close but the Bears continued to add to their lead. At the end of the fourth quarter the game was 71-60. The Lady Lions shot 31% from the field and only made 17% of threes and 82% of freethrows.
Three Lady Lions tallied double digits during the matchup. Kaylee Odom led the way and scored 16 points. Kinlee Varnell scored 13 and Alyssa LeMay scored 12 points. Lemay also grabbed 11 rebounds.
The Lady Lions look ahead to their final regular season game against the University of the Cumberlands on Saturday in Brewer Sports Center.
