Lady Lions Suffer Double Digit Loss at Bethel

Box Score

Henderson, Tenn– In a game in which they never found their footing offensively, the Freed-Hardeman Lady Lions dropped their ninth game of the season at Bethel Monday night in McKenzie.

Despite shooting less than 30% from the field in the first half, the Lady Lions (16-9, 8-9 MSC) took to the break with a one-point halftime lead. Their largest lead during the opening 20 minutes was as many as six as a result of their defensive effort, preventing the Wildcats (15-10, 9-8 MSC) from getting open looks and limiting their transition opportunities.

The second half, on the other hand, was dominated by the Wildcats, outscoring the Lady Lions 33-17. The Lady Lions were limited to just five field goals in the second half, shooting 0-9 from behind the arc.

The only player in double figures for the Lady Lions Monday night was Reagan Floyd with 10, along with four rebounds, two assists and a steal. Leading scorer Alyssa LeMay struggled to find her way into the game, shooting just 1-8 from the field and 1-5 from three.

Up Next: After a tough road loss against the Bethel Wildcats, the Lady Lions will look to get back on track as they continue their road trip as they travel to Crestveiw, Kentucky to take on the top ranked Thomas More Saints Thursday night at 5PM.
