Box Score Henderson, Tenn– In a game in which they never found their footing offensively, the Freed-Hardeman Lady Lions dropped their ninth game of the season at Bethel Monday night in McKenzie.
Despite shooting less than 30% from the field in the first half, the Lady Lions (16-9, 8-9 MSC) took to the break with a one-point halftime lead. Their largest lead during the opening 20 minutes was as many as six as a result of their defensive effort, preventing the Wildcats (15-10, 9-8 MSC) from getting open looks and limiting their transition opportunities.
The second half, on the other hand, was dominated by the Wildcats, outscoring the Lady Lions 33-17. The Lady Lions were limited to just five field goals in the second half, shooting 0-9 from behind the arc.
The only player in double figures for the Lady Lions Monday night was Reagan Floyd with 10, along with four rebounds, two assists and a steal. Leading scorer Alyssa LeMay struggled to find her way into the game, shooting just 1-8 from the field and 1-5 from three.
