HENDERSON — After a pair of losses and draws, the Freed-Hardeman University Lions soccer team earned their first win of the season with a 5-1 victory over the Fisk (Tenn.) University Bulldogs.
The Lions (1-2-2) were off and running with
Thabo Mahlaha netting a goal at 10:21 before Rodrido Tostado added his season's fourth goal just after the ensuing kickoff with an assist from
Dylan Vaughn.
Tostado would then team up with Mahlaha with the former toeing in his second goal of the match at 13:10. The next five minutes were dominated by
Seabata Ts'emane in his debut in maroon. Tallying his first collegiate goal at 16:48, Ts'emane was assisted by fellow Basotho Mahalah. The Lions' final goal came from the boot of Ts'emane at 18:45.
The Bulldogs (0-2-0) tacked on their lone goal in the 89th minute on their lone shot on goal.
