HENDERSON — Playing in their first two Mid-South Conference games, the (RV) Freed-Hardeman University Lady Lions were first shut out by the Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) College Blue Raiders 5-0 before bouncing back to win game two 10-5.

The Freed-Hardeman University Lady Lions (9-8, 0-1 MSC) fell in game one against the Lindsey Wilson Lady Blue Raiders (8-6, 1-0 MSC) by a score of 5-0.
Chloe Carter led the way with two hits for the Lady Lions.
Karli Quillin recorded the other hit for the Lady Lions.
Kylee Brown (5-3) was charged with the loss for the Lady Lions. She pitched the complete-game seven innings allowing seven hits, four earned runs and striking out three batters.Â

In game two, the Lady Lions were able to flip things around to win by a score of 10-5. FHU (10-8, 1-1 MSC) were able to record eleven hits on the day, led by
Natalie Gilmore who had three hits and recorded four RBIs.Â
In the bottom of the third inning, the Lady Lions were down 2-0.
Myleah Hardy led off the inning with a leadoff walk. After
Karli Quillin is hit by the pitch,
Natalie Gilmore records a two-run double and evened up the ballgame after three innings. In the bottom of the fourth inning, the Lady Lions took a 3-2 lead with a homer from
Alivia Eggleston.Â
In the bottom of the sixth inning, the Lady Lions were up 6-5 when
Chloe Carter led off the inning with a single. After a
Myleah Hardy double,
Gracie Wilson broughr home a runner on the groundout to make the score 7-5. With
Kiersten Perry up, she sent a double to bring home a runner to make the score 8-5. Karli Quilin brough home a runner to make it 9-5 on a single.
Natalie Gilmore will bring home the tenth runner with a double to finish the game 10-5.Â
Chloe Winters (2-3) got the win for the Lady Lions pitching a complete game seven innings pitched allowing six hits four earned runs and striking out five batters.
