FULTON, Mo. — Both the Freed-Hardeman Lady Lions and Lions tennis teams faced ranked opponents and neither were able to collect a point. The Lady Lions fell 7-0 to the No. 25 William Woods (Mo.) University Owls, while the Lions fell 7-0 to the No. 7 Owls.

Both competing doubles matches for the Lady Lions featured ranked oppponents, including Hannah Pearce and Morgan Brown facing the nation's No. 7 duo. Elise Kruzan would later have a top-10 matchup in the singles round, falling to the No. 9 player.

On the men's side, the Lions faced the No. 2 doubles pair before Merlin Bolema faced the nation's top singles player. The Lions would also cross racquets with two more ranked singles opponents.
