ST. LOUIS — The Freed-Hardeman University Lady Lions had a close loss in the doubles round before getting a comeback win in the singles while falling 6-1 to the Missouri Baptist University Spartans.
Morgan Brown and
Hannah Pearce teamed up to force a tiebreak against the No. 25 doubles team, then taking the extra points as far as they could before dropping the match 7-6 (5).
Kennley Kirk highlighted the No. 4 singles court after falling behind after winning one game in the first set. The freshman then battled back to force a tiebreak in the second set to win and then winning the tiebreaker set and getting FHU's point with the 1-6, 7-5 (5), 10-4 victory.
