In the second game of the day, the Lady Lions (21-13, 10-6 MSC) spotted the Patriots six run in the top of the first inning thanks in part to a grand slam.
In the home half of the first, FHU took advantage of a UC (33-4, 14-0 MSC) dropped foul to help load the bases.

Karli Quillin and
Natalie Gilmore were followed by
Alivia Eggleston being hit by a pitch to load the bases again.
Molli Deere perfectly placed a double to left-center to drive home two runs and set the score at 6-3 in favor of the guests after two complete innings.
A pair of errors in the bottom of the third set up Quillin to fire a single up the middle to score two more runs to draw the Lady Lions within one run with the score after three innings being 6-5.
The Patriots picked up some insurance in the top of the fourth before
Olivia White singled home
Chloe Carter to make the score 9-6 after the bottom of the fourth inning.
Despite the valiant comeback, the Lady Lions were stunned when UC added two runs in the top of the sixth before putting up nine run runs in the seventh to finish off the 20-6 final.
