LEBANON, Tenn. — The (RV) Freed-Hardeman University Lady Lions poured on 28 hits across two games over the Phoenix of Cumberland (Tenn.) University. In game one FHU claimed a 6-0 victory before finishing the day with a 9-2 win.

Scoring opened up for the Lady Lions (25-16, 12-9 MSC) in the top of the first with back-to-back hits when Natale Gilmore's single was followed by
Alivia Eggleston's RBI double.
Two more FHU runs would cross in the top of the second when
Kiersten Perry's single drove home
Brinley Cousar before a Cumberland (20-15, 8-13 MSC) error allowed an unearned run to score and give FHU a 3-0 edge.
Brooklyn Jimmerson led off the top of the third with a walk, later scoring thanks to
Olivia White's groundout. Another Phoenix error in the top of the fourth to let the fifth Lady Lion run to score. White's second RBI of the day came in the top of the sixth when her singled let Cousar score the final run of the 6-0 victory.
Chloe Winters (8-5) had the complete game shutout where she struck out six and allowed just three hits.
Nine of FHU's 10 batters recorded at least one hit: led by
Natalie Gilmore's 3-4 day.

In the second game of the day the Lady Lions (26-16, 13-9 MSC) had a pair of three-run innings to help to a victory. An RBI single from
Olivia White in the top of the second gave FHU the lead before a Cumberland run crossed in the home half.
Kiersten Perry led off the top of the third with a single, followed by a single from
Karli Quillin.
Alivia Eggleston picked up the first of five RBI in the top of the third with a two-run single to give the Lady Lions a 3-1 lead over the Cumberland (20-16, 8-14 MSC) Phoenix.
Back-to-back singles from the top of the order set up Eggleston to continue her phenomenal sophomore campaign with her year's sixth homer giving FHU a 6-1 lead. A set of singles allowed Cumberland to score their second run of the game.
Brinley Cousar had a wo-run single in the top of the seventh before
Kiersten Mesler drove home FHU's final run run in the 9-2 win.
Kylee Brown (10-4) picked her year's 10th victory with the complete-game win where she fanned 10 CU batters.
Alivia Eggleston drove in five runs by going 3-4 from the day, joined by
Karli Quillin's three-hit day.
Brinley Cousar and
Kiersten Mesler both tallied two hits.
