1. Lucky 13
Ringing in at #2 in Wednesday's poll, it marked the 13th straight poll the Lions were featured in.
2. Kansas City Brothers
Freed-Hardeman and Cumberlands were two of three (Georgetown) Mid-South Conference teams to advance all the way to the NAIA National Championship final site in Kansas City.
3. Bevo Watch List
Peyton Law was placed on the Small College Basketball Bevo watch list - one of the top awards given to an individual player of any school below NCAA D1. UC's Anthony Jones was also mentioned in the list.
4. As Close as it Gets
Last season, the Lions and the Patriots shared the Mid-South Conference Regular Season Title. In order to determine the top seed, the tiebreak went down to head-to-head combined points scored, where the Lions won the tiebreak by a single point.
5. Super Offense
The Patriots boast one of the top offenses in the country, landing in the top 10 in points per game, field goals made per game, field goal attempts per game, and field goal percentage.
