COLUMBIA, Ky. — Continuing their Kentucky road trip, he Freed-Hardeman University Lady Lions lost to the (RV) Lindsey Wilson University Blue Raiders 3-0 (25-14, 25-17, 25-17) in straight sets.

Despite Morgan Jackson opening the match with a Lady Lion (16-13, 2-7 MSC) kill, the Blue Raiders forced a time out after going on an 8-1 run. Down by 10 points in the middle of the set, an Alyssa Austin service ace helped FHU narrow the lead to 18-12. The early push by LWU gave the hosts the 25-14 set win.

FHU had a big run with Allie Lowhortn and Marija Milic. teaming up for a block to give FHU a lead over LWU (26-9, 7-3 MSC) at 10-8. For every momentum swing by the Lady Lions, the Blue Raiders would answer in turn with a six-point swing giving LWU a 14-10 lead. The lead stayed close, but the Blue Raiders reached 25 first to take the set 25-17.

Neither team could get a foothold in the third set with Audrey Orton's kill knotting the set 13-13. LWU began to gather points until winning the set 25-17 and the match 3-0.

Audrey Orton had a double-double with 10 kills and 10 digs.
