Women's basketball claims vengeance on Tigers

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — After falling to the No. 3 Campbellsville University Tigers in their only home loss of the season, the No. 8 Freed-Hardeman University Lady Lions returned the favor with a 62-52 victory in Kentucky.

Lilly Kee took over in the final five minutes of the half, scoring six points to see the Lady Lions to the locker room with a 29-23 lead.

Bender began the second half with a layup before a Curtis 3-ball made the Lady Lion lead 11 points. Kaylee Odom joined Bender for the remainder of the half with the forward tandem scoring the remaining 10 points of the third quarter to hold a 44-37 lead.

The Lady Lions have saved their best for last and Thursday was no different with FHU tallying 18 points to tie their first-quarter total as the game high. Brooklyn Crouch tallied a 3-pointer go along with the pair netted by Curtis before the Satterly sisters closed the game at the charity stripe to finish the 62-52 victory.
