Box Score BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Neither the No. 7 Freed-Hardeman University Lady Lions nor the No. 3 Campbellsville Tigers made a shot from the floor in the final two minutes of Monday's semifinal game of the Mid-South Conference Tournament. The Lady Lions; however, scored two late free throws while CU scored eight to fall 58-51.
Holding the No. 3 seed in the bracket, the Lady Lions (25-5) got started with back-to-back layups from
Jenna Satterly and
Kaylee Odom before going cold and missing their next six attempts. At 3:30
Brooklyn Crouch and
Rachel Satterly joined the effort with a set of layups to give FHU an 8-5 lead. R. Satterly's 3-pointer put the Lady Lions on top by four, but the Tigers ended the quarter with three free throws to end the opening 10 minutes with FHU on top 11-10.
R. Satterly came out strong in the second quarter, knocking down back-to-back treys to push FHU's lead to seven; however, the second-seeded Tigers (26-2) chipped away until knotting the game 19-19 with 3:01 on the clock. After trading scores,
Alaina Stiles' layup helped FHU to a 23-22 lead at intermission.
After switching ends Campbellsville immediately became comfortable with the hoop, scoring the first eight points of the second half to jump out to a 30-23 lead before J. Satterly's jumper at 7:52 was the first bucket for FHU in the third quarter. After CU pulled out to a 10-point lead, the Lady Lions scored the last six points of the frame to head to the fourth quarter trailing 39-35.
J. Satterly took over to start, scoring five unanswered points to give the Lady Lions back the lead. CU drove into the lane to jump back out to a five-point edge before
Kelsey Bender and R. Satterly teamed up to tie the game 47-47 with 4:48 left.
Brooklyn Crouch scored the last points from the floor with 2:21 left, but Campbellsville stood tall at the charity stripe to out-score FHU 8-2 in the final minute to end FHU's MSC title hopes with a 58-51 final.
The Lady Lions tallied six 3-pointer in the defeat while CU connected for three. Both teams had nine offensive rebounds; however, FHU was unable to convert second chance points while the Tigers scored six. Campbellsville was 23-31 from the free-throw line while the Lady Lions shot 7-10.
Rachel Satterly dropped a season-high 18 points by connecting for five three-pointers while
Jenna Satterly was right behind her big sister with 17 points. R. Satterly led the team with six rebounds while
Brooklyn Crouch led with four assists.

With FHU hosting the first and second rounds of the NAIA Women's Basketball National Championship, the Lady Lions will now wait to officially receive an at-large bid and await their opponent on selection day: March 6.
