BOURBONNAIS, Ill. — Freed-Hardeman University's Lady Lions exited the Olivet Nazarene Tournament on Saturday with a pair of losses. The Lady Lions fell to the Carroll (S.D.) College Fighting Saints 3-0 (25-16, 25-20, 25-16) before coming up short against the Marian (Ind.) University Knights 3-0 (25-14, 25-11, 25-18).

The Lady Lions (0-3) had another early start against the Fighting Saints.
Marija Milic was involved in both of FHU's first two points, registering a kill before adding an assist. Back-to-back kills from
Brianna Jackson and
Katelyn Husband helped FHU knot the set 6-6 before Carroll pushed four points across.
Alyssa Austin had consecutive service aces in the middle of the set, but Carroll reached 25 points first to claim the opening frame.
Kills from
Morgan Jackson recorded two of FHU's first three points in the second set.
Ana Coker's kill was followed by Hanae Bezerga's service ace to cut Carroll's (1-1) lead to 8-6.
Allie Lowhorn and Teodora Jackson joined Jackson in the middle with late blocks, but the Fighting Saints won the set 25-20.
Austin opened the third set on fire from the service line, with three straight aces helping give the Lady Lions a 6-2 advantage. Carroll was able to draw even with a four-point swing before
Becca Heineman's kill gave FHU a 14-13 advantage. The Fighting Saints followed with six unanswered points to help give them the momentum to win the set and the match.
Morgan Jackson led FHU on the attack with seven kills at 31.3%.
Alex Howard anchored the back row with eight digs while
Allie Lowhorn accounted in part for two blocks.

Ana Coker opened the second match of the day with a block before
Teodora Dacic and
Marija Milic tallied kills to help FHU (0-4) reach a 4-3 lead. The Marian Knights were able to string together several runs before Coker's kill being the last score for the Lady Lions before Marian won the first set 25-14.
Freed-Hardeman tallied points late in the second set with kills from
Alex Howard and Dacic before Milic planted a service ace to set the score at 12-8. The Knights (3-0) then rode a wave out of the set with a 25-11 set win.
FHU came out of the third set strong, with
Alex Howard's ace being followed by kills from Milic and
Olivia Saint to give the Lady Lions a 9-5 lead. Marian kept the pressure strong, scoring points 10 of the next 11 rallies.
Cate Schroer joined
Morgan Jackson and Dacic with late kills before Marian managed to escape with the set and match win.
Teodora Dacic had FHU's first double-digit kill performance with 10 kills on just three errors.
Alex Howard pulled up nine digs.
