Five Things to Know:
1. Two Wins in One Day
The Lady Lions broke into the win column in a big way Friday, earning a pair of five-set victories at the UHSP Classic. FHU rallied past Friends, 3-2, before taking down Brescia, 3-2, to improve to 2-5 on the season.
2. Dacic Leads a Balanced FHU Attack
Teodora Dacic continues to pace the Lady Lions offensively, leading FHU with 24 kills in a match this season. Marija Milic has also been a key offensive contributor, while Alyssa Austin leads the team with 38 assists in a match. As a team, FHU is averaging 10.85 kills, 10.15 assists and 3.08 service aces per set.
3. Three Straight Five-Setters
Saturday's matches come after FHU has gone the distance in each of its last three contests. The Lady Lions defeated Friends and Brescia in five sets Friday after falling to Blue Mountain Christian in a five-set thriller earlier in the week. FHU has shown an ability to stay competitive deep into matches, winning five of the last 10 sets played across those three contests.
4. York Has Been Tested Early
York enters Saturday having already played multiple competitive matches during the opening stretch of the season. The Panthers opened the year with a 3-0 loss at Concordia before playing a five-set match against William Penn Friday. York will face FHU at 11 a.m. Saturday.
5. William Penn Brings a Proven Offensive Attack
William Penn averaged 11.24 kills per set and hit .149 as a team during the 2025 season, while also averaging 15.78 digs per set. The Statesmen will close FHU's weekend with a 3 p.m. matchup Saturday in St. Louis.
