WEST POINT, Ga. — Concluding a late week in Georgia, the Freed-Hardeman University Lion soccer team picked up another non-conference victory against the Point (Ga.) University Skyhawks.
Sam Sebagabo's two goals in the first half was all the scoring in the 2-0 Lion win.
On FHU's (6-2-3) first shot of the game,
Sam Sebagabo took a pass from
Noah Setterberg and buried his shot in the back of the net for his season's second goal at 4:55. Freed-Hardmen's quick methodical offense was a little too quick at times, being whistled with six offside calls in the opening frame. In the 34th minute, Sebagabo received a pass from
Paolo Sparks and netted his second goal of the contest.
In the match, the Skyhawks (1-3-5) out-shot the Lions 15-7; however, FHU's defense forced all but three of those to be off target. With three saves,
Gaspar Bourdon recorded his second clean sheet in as many matches.
Sam Sebagabo fired four of FHU's seven shots in the victory.
