Freed-Hardeman University women's basketball had what was arguably its most successful stretch in the early-to-mid 2000's, and Jessica Woodard was a large part of that success. The 5-foot-3 point guard from Millington, Tenn., led FHU to its first-ever conference championship and an appearance in the quarterfinals of the NAIA National Tournament in 2004. During her career, Woodward was a three-time first-team all-conference selection, a two-time first-team NAIA All-American, and a WBCA/State Farm All-American. She was also named the TranSouth Conference Player of the Year in 2003. She holds school records in several categories, including career assists (727) and steals (433) and single-season assists (215) and steals (125). She is fifth all-time in career scoring with 1,852 points and ranks ninth in career rebounds with 650, the most for any guard in program history.
