Box Score PAINTSVILLE, Ky. - The Freed-Hardeman Lady Lions weren't able to win three consecutive matches for the first time in program history, but they weren't handed their first loss of the season, either.

FHU (2-0-1) played to a 2-2 tie with Pikeville (Ky.) College on Thursday afternoon, keeping the Lady Lions from winning their third match of the young season. However, it does mark the first time that the team has gone without a loss in its opening three matches.

The Lady Lions outshot Pikeville 32-8, including 9-0 in the overtime periods. Helena Yegros scored both of FHU's goals in the 27th and 53rd minutes, her third and fourth goals of the season.

However, one minute after Yegros's second goal gave FHU a 2-1 lead, the Lady Bears got the equalizer from Kara Henning.

Freed-Hardeman completes its season-opening road trip tomorrow evening against Campbellsville (Ky.) University at 6:00 PM.
