SOCCER MATCHDAY: Lady Lions vs. St. Louis College of Pharmacy

HENDERSON, Tenn. - The Freed-Hardeman Lady Lion soccer team will host their first conference match of the season as they face Saint Louis College of Pharmacy (Mo.) on Saturday at the Josh Riley Soccer Complex.

SETTING THE STAGE

The Lady Lions (3-1) are coming off a 2-0 loss to Reinhardt (Ga.) University (3-0-1) on September 5, a match where two early goals by the Eagles was enough to hand FHU their first loss of the season in the Lions Cup.

FHU was able to pick up one win in the opening game of the Lions Cup with a 3-0 win over Brewton Parker (Ga.) College.

Saint Louis College of Pharmacy (1-3) is coming into Saturday's game off a 5-0 loss to fellow conference opponent Lindenwood University Belleville on September 9.

LAST TIME THEY MET

The Lady Lions hosted Saint Louis College of Pharmacy last season on September 6 and dominated every aspect of the match, picking up a solid 7-1 victory.

Julianne Renner and Darby Miskelly contributed two goals a piece in the match. Brett Kletke, Taylor Jenkins and Sydney Dubiel also contributed with one goal each. The Lady Lions outshot the Eutectics in the match 25-2 with 16 of FHU's shots coming on goal.

WHO TO WATCH

Kennedi Van Ravestein has been a force to be reckoned with on the defensive end. In the first four matches of the season she has helped the Lady Lions defense keep teams from getting touches inside the box. Van Ravestein has also contributed on the offensive end, scoring a late goal in the 3-0 victory against Brewton Parker. Look for Van Ravestein to have another solid day this afternoon.
