CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. – The Lady Lions soccer team (0-1) fell short in its season opener, losing 5-0 to future Mid-South Conference foe Thomas More (2-0) on Friday afternoon.

The Lady Saints struck in the 28th minute to take a 1-0 lead, but the Lady Lions would be able to hold that score heading into the halftime break.

The former NCAA D-III squad would open things up in the second half, scoring four goals to put the game out of reach.

Morgan Clemmons got the start in goal for the Lady Lions, saving five shots.

They will head south to face Georgetown College, another future MSC opponent, on Saturday at 3 p.m.
