HENDERSON, Tenn. — The Lady Lions looked strong in their home game against Evangel (Mo.) on Saturday. Freed-Hardeman's team pushed the game's pace and worked effectively to end the game with a score of 2-0.
The Lady Lions (4-1-0) started off the game offensively with eight shots on goal in the first half of the game. The first goal of the game was late into the first half of the game at 30:24 by Zoe Stom assisted by Sara Becerra.
In the second half, Evangel (3-3-0) would try to make an aggressive comeback, but Becerra would finalize the women's win with a goal in the second half assisted by team captain Jessica Musselman.
The total shots on goal for the game were 18 by Freed-Hardeman and eight by Evangel.
Brooke Latham once again helped the Lady Lions to a shutout win and ended the game with six saves.
