GEORGETOWN, Ky. — In their final away match of the 2023 regular season, the Freed-Hardeman University Lady Lions took on the Georgetown (Ky.) College, falling to the Tigers 4-0.
The first half saw the Lady Lions (3-10-0, 0-5-0 MSC) play in the quarter of the pitch most of the match, with Georgetown sending 10 shots toward
Brooke Latham's net. FHU stood firm for most of the first half before the hosting Tigers scored their first goal at 35:53.
As if 10 shots were not enough, Georgetown (5-5-3, 1-3-0 MSC) doubled their offensive attack in the second half, sending 20 shots at the Lady Lion netminder. Of those 20, eight were on target, with Latham saving five and conceding three before the final whistle blew.
Zoe Stom managed two shots for FHU, one of which was on goal. FHU's other three shots came from
Laura Kuehnhenrich,
Ericka Montenegro, and
Abby Schwarz.
