The Lady Lions (7-1) had the 3-pointer rocking in the first half with Reagan Purvine, KJ White, and Rachel Satterly all draining long-range jumpers in the first quarter. After Oakwood scored a layup at 9:12, FHU would outscore the opposition 19-0 bookended by Purvine points. Showing off their ball-handling, of the Lady Lions' nine first quarter field goals, six were accompanied by assists. Oakwood would go on a short run late in the frame, scoring five unanswered points to end the first quarter with a 21-7 FHU lead.

Upping their first quarter triple total, FHU would knock down four 3-pointers in the second frame, two each from Satterly and Carissa Curtis. Elli Chumley's layup at 3:22 was the only two-point field goal and gave FHU their largest lead over Oakwood (1-3) by 25 points. A late 3-pointer followed by a free throw ended the first half with the Lady Lions on top 37-14.

Utilizing the bench in the second half, the Lady Lions saw a fantastic outing from Alaina Stiles who bucketed seven third quarter points before collecting 11 points in the final frame. Oakwood was able to connect for four 3-pointers in the fourth quarter, but a 12-0 run in the middle of the fourth quarter put FHU on top for a 74-38 final.
