The Freed-Hardeman volleyball team (12-14, 1-8) fell in three straight sets on the road versus University of the Cumberlands (29-3, 8-2) on Thursday.
The Lions could not find their stride offensively, and the Patriots gained confidence as the match wore on.
Alanys Ruiz Rivera and
Cate Schroer each had nine kills to lead FHU's attack. Defensively,
Alyssa Austin led the way with 13 digs.
Catherine Hackett added on two blocks as well.
Freed-Hardeman looks to turn the page when it plays Georgetown (6-14, 3-7) on Friday in Davis-Reid Alumni Gym. The first serve is scheduled for 6:30 (EDT).
