GEORGETOWN, Ky. — Playing in a Sunday double-dip, the Freed-Hardeman University Lady Lions fell in the first game of the day to the Georgetown (Ky.) College Tigers 9-4 before bounced back with a 6-0 shutout victory.

The Lady Lions (13-10, 4-3 MSC) fell behind early when Georgetown exploded with seven runs in the bottom of the first inning including a three-run homer and two doubles.
FHU put up a lone run in the top of the second inning when Kiersten Mesley took the Georgetown (5-9, 1-2 MSC) pitch and sent it over the fence in left field to put FHU on the board. The Lady Lions added two more in the top of the third inning thanks to
Chloe Carter's two-run single to set the score at 7-3.
After a two-run triple in the bottom of the third put the Tigers on top 9-3,
Alivia Eggleston's infield single in the top of the sixth scored the final run in the opening game.
Katelyn Bradford (2-1) was charged with the loss after one full inning.
Kylee Brown pitched five innings of relief effort.
Chloe Carter and
Alivia Eggleston had two hits each in the loss.

The Lady Lions (14-10, 5-3 MSC) battled back to dominate in game two with
Brittany Adair tossing a 10-strikeout one-hitter.
On the offensive side of the ball
Natalie Gilmore tallied a one-out single before swiping second base.
Kiersten Mesler single drove her home before
Chloe Carter intended a sacrifice bunt, but beat out a throw that went wide, allowing
Alivia Eggleston to wrap around and score an unearned run.
Both the Lady Lions and the Tigers (5-10, 1-3 MSC) traded scoreless innings until the top of the fifth inning when back-to-back singles from Carter and
Brinley Cousar were turned into extra-base hits due to GC outfield errors to score two more unearned runs. Eggleston continued her strong run production in the top of the sixth inning with a two-run single to wrap up the scoring on the 6-0 victory.
Adair (3-3) went all seven shutout innings in the circle where she struck out 10 Tigers while surrendering just one hit. No Tiger made it past second base in the victory.
The Lady Lions pounded out 12 hits with

Kiersten Mesler each collecting two.
