Game 2
BU - 2
FHU - 1
The Lady Lions (24-16, 13-9 MSC) fell in the final game of the day in a game where both teams left runners stranded, combining for 18 runners left on base.
Kiersten Mesler drew a two-out walk in the bottom of the first, then scoring the only Lady Lion run when
Brooklyn Jimmerson landed a double to right-center.
Bethel (13-25, 4-16 MSC) scored the tying run in the top of the second when the pain of three straight singles was eased after one run scored, but a second was thrown out to limit the damage to tie the game 1-1.
Small ball worked for the Wildcats in the top of the sixth when a sacrifice bunt moved what ended up being the game winning run to third base. A fielder's choice drove home that run to hand the Lady Lions the 2-1 loss.
Katelyn Bradford (2-3) was given the loss, throwing a complete game where she struck out one.
Brinley Cousar and
Olivia White had two base hits each for the Lady Lions.
