MCKENZIE, Tenn. — The Freed-Hardeman Lions tennis team visited McKenzie to play a neutral site match against the Mighty Oaks of Oakland City (Ind.) University. Playing to clinch the Lions fell 4-0.
For the Lions, Merlin and Bolema fell 7-5 in the doubles match while Carlos Garcia and
Nolan Laduree pushed their opponents to the same score in a tough match.
Braden Young and
Quentin Ferron left their game unfinished in a 6-6 tie.
At the No. 1 singles court,
Merlin Bolema's match was cut short with the score 6-3, 6-5.
Maxime Guyon needed a tiebreaker to win the first set 7-6 (4) but then saw the second set cut short after falling behind 1-0.
Quentin Ferron fell on the No. 3 court 6-4, 6-1 while
Nolan Laduree came up short 6-2, 6-3. The last completed match was when Carlos Garcis fell 6-1, 6-4 while
Braden Young's 6-2, 3-5 match was left unfinished.
