HENDERSON — Competing in their first home dual of the spring season, the Freed-Hardeman University Lion tennis team toppled the University of Olivet (Mich.) Comets 7-0.
In the doubles round, the Lions (4-4) lost just one game with the duo of
Merlin Bolema/
Maxime Guyon on the No. 1 court and the No. 3 court eam of
Carlos Garcia/
Nolan Laduree both winning 6-0.
Pablo Poleo/Quintin Ferron won their doubles match 6-1.
On the No. 4 and No. 6 courtsÂ
Pablo Poleo and
Braden Young swept their Comet (1-9) opponents 6-0, 6-0, respectively. On the No. 1 court
Merlin Bolema defeated his opponent 6-2, 6-1 while
Maxime Guyon won his No. 2 court match 6-2, 6-2. Next door on the No. 3 court
Quentin Ferron won 6-1, 6-0 with
Nolan Laduree completing the clean sweep with a 6-1, 6-1 victory.
