HENDERSON — The final game of the series between the Freed-Hardeman University Lions and the (RV) Indiana Tech Warriors featured the Lions plating three runs in the ninth, but falling short of the series sweep in a 9-3 loss.
It was a slow start for the Freed-Hardeman (17-10) bats, not recording their first base hit until
Brooks Jones recorded a single in the bottom of the fifth.Â
On the other side of the field the Warriors (8-4) smacked out 11 base knocks to score all nine of their runs across the first five innings.
Brooks Jones had two of FHU's five hits with the other three scattered across three hitters.
Hunter Bennett (4-1) struck out four batters in three innings of action.
