TALLADEGA, Ala. — The Freed-Hardeman University Lions had a non-conference matchup against the Talladega (Ala.) College Tornadoes on Tuesday. Three four-run innings by the hosts ended the 14-4 contest in seven innings in favor of Talladega.
The Freed-Hardeman (27-16) hitters were stumped at the plate by recording three hits. Half of the runs to cross for FHU came by way of Talladega errors until a two-run home run by
Cade Fuller in the seventh inning recorded the other two.
On the other side Talladega (30-14) connected for 12 hits including a third-inning grand slam.
The three FHU hits all came from different hitters with
Trace Anderson,
Jordan Carter, and
Cade Fuller all grabbing hits.
Zach Seward (2-2) was charged with the loss after a 2 2/3 inning start before five different Lion hurlers came out of the bullpen.
