LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The Freed-Hardeman University hitters tallied 17 hits including six doubles in a big 18-2 victory over the Arkansas Baptist College Buffaloes Tuesday night in seven innings.
It was all Freed-Hardeman (22-14) from the first pitch with the Lions scoring eight runs in on six hits in the top of the first.
Drake Blackwood had a two-run single before
Cade Fuller's two-run double put a bow on the big inning.
The Arkansas Baptist (0-12) hitters tallied lone runs in the second and the seventh, but it was FHU's 10-run sixth inning that completely put the game away. The Lions tallied nine hits including five doubles with
Gage Burt's double scoring two.
Ben Turner was locked in by reaching base safely all five times he appeared at the plate: going 4-4 with a walk.

Hunter McLemore, and
Hunter Ryan each recorded two hits with both of McLemore's being doubles.

The Lions poured on 10 runs in the top of the sixth starting with Turner scoring on an error before Fuller scored on McLemore's two-bagger. McLemore would later score on a wild pitch then Ryan's single plated Jones. Daversa's double scored Blackwood before
Gage Burt's double drove in
Jordan Carter and Ryan. Johnson's single drove Burt home before McLemore smashed a double to score Johnson and Turner to wrap up the huge inning.
