Rico Sain and Georgetown's (Ky.) Darien Lewis are the Mid-South Conference Men's Basketball Players of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.
Pinnacle Financial Partners sponsors the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week Award program. Pinnacle Financial Partners was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, with banks in eight states in the southeast United States.
MSC Men's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week
Rico Sain – Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) – Sr. – Guard – Jackson, Tenn.
- Sain snatched five steals and swatted two shots in the Lions' 2-0 week.
- The senior also grabbed 13 total rebounds across those contests.
- Sain earns his third weekly honor of the season.
MSC Men's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week
Darien Lewis – Georgetown (Ky.) – Sr. – Guard – Louisville, Ky.
- Lewis scored a team-high 24 points in the Tigers' victory against the Cumberland Phoenix.
- The senior shot 53.3% from the field, grabbed eight rebounds, and hit four three-pointers in the game.
- Lewis earns his first weekly honor of the season.
