Rico Sain and Lindsey Wilson's (Ky.) Kenyata Carbon are the Mid-South Conference Men's Basketball Players of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.
Pinnacle Financial Partners sponsors the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week Award program. Pinnacle Financial Partners was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, with banks in eight states in the southeast United States.
MSC Men's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week
Rico Sain – Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) – Sr. – Guard – Jackson, Tenn.
- Sain averaged 21 points for the Lions and their 2-0 week.
- In addition to his offense, he amassed eight steals and a block across the conference victories.
- Sain earns his second weekly honor of the season.
MSC Men's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week
Kenyata Carbon – Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) – Jr. – Guard – Owensboro, Ky.
- Carbon matched his career-high with 33 points in the Blue Raiders' win over #6 Cumberlands (Ky.).
- The junior shot 67.6% from the field on the week along with averaging 22 points, six rebounds, nearly six assists (5.7), and just over two steals (2.3).
- Carbon earns his sixth weekly honor of the season.
