MILLINGTON, Tenn. — In two games at the 2026 Midwest Clash, the Freed-Hardeman University Lions were led by
Brooks Jones' seven RBI in two victories. FHU first topped the Culver-Stockton (Mo.) College Wildcats, 8-1, before downing the Shawnee State (Ohio) University Bears, 9-3.

Freed-Hardeman (7-2) was seeing the ball well from the start, drawing a pair of walks to open the game.
Brooks Jones would open the scoring with a three-run homer.
Culver-Stockton (2-4) answered with a solo homer in the second before Jones drove in his fourth run of the game with a single in the fourth inning.
Hunter Ryan had a solo homer in the top of the sixth to help FHU complete the win.
Brooks Jones went 2-for-2 to drive in a team-high four runs.
Chase Eakes followed with two hits of his own.
Hunter McLemore (1-0) got the victory on the mound after tossing five innings where he struck out four Wildcats.Â

JJ Pruneau's single drove in a run.
Bo Mitchell's first collegiate hit came with an RBI double in the bottom of the third to give the Lions a 6-0 advantage over the Bears (6-3).
Chase Eakes ended the FHU offense with a two-run homer to plate
Ben Turner.
Chase Eakes led the offense by going 3-for-4 from the dish while driving in two runs.
Brooks Jones' two hits drove in a team-high three runs in the victory.
Jackson Fitzwilson (3-0) allowed just one hit in four innings of starting action.
