BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Despite three players hitting home runs, the No. 4 seed Freed-Hardeman University Lady Lions were eliminated from the Mid-South Conference Tournament by the No. 3 seed Campbellsville University Tigers, 5-4.
Freed-Hardeman (22-21) leaned on experience with six of FHU's nine coming from seniors.
Karli Quillin led off the game with a single, later scoring on
Alivia Eggleston's RBI single. Joining
Myleah Hardy, underclassmen
Hannah Jones and

The Campbellsville (31-16) offense clicked in the bottom of the sixth inning, connected for four base hits, none bigger than the two singles to tie the game before taking the lead. Quillin's leadoff single sparked an opportunity with the Lady Lions loading the bases with one out, but Campbellsville forced a runner out at the plate before securing the final out.
FHU connected for nine base hits, with
