The game started off with both teams firing shots within the first 90 seconds of the contest. Both shots were off target and teams would continue trading shots until Yajaira Alvarado scored for Williams Baptist (4-0-1) putting them on top in the 24th minute. Through the rest of the half, the Lady Lions had some good looks but were unable to net one. In the last minute of the half, Williams Baptist had a corner kick that turned into being bounced around and put into the net of the Eagles by a Lady Lion, turning the deficit into a 2-0 going into the half. Both teams came out of the half with quick shots again, with nobody scoring until the 60th minute with another Williams Baptist goal, this time by Fabiana Quiros. The final goal would be scored in the 71st minute by Keegan Pilant, putting the Lady Eagles up 4-0 which they would take into the end of the game.
Despite not scoring, the Lady Lions had a much more aggressive offensive attack taking 13 shots and five on goal. Avery Branch, starting in the goal, had six saves and multiple blocks to limit the scoring.
The Lady Lions don't have much time to rest, as they host Champion Christian on Saturday at 2pm.
