Meet Your Coach: Randall Rhodes

Randall Rhodes, coach of the FHU Golf team

Who I Am

Born in Oklahoma, I spent my entire life in northeastern Oklahoma before moving to Tennessee in 2022. I'm a Christian, a husband, and a father who loves God and my family. I've spent 25 years in leadership and coaching sports. I'm in my third year of coaching FHU Golf at Freed-Hardeman. I've played golf for nearly 4 decades, playing in multiple individual/team competitions, and I simply love being around the game.

What I Believe

I'm passionate about accomplishing things that are bigger than myself. I love the vibe that comes from achieving things as a team. I know that when a group of people work together, they can accomplish exponentially more. I have a zeal to teach others the skills that will help them be successful in their golf careers and in their spiritual and professional lives.

Why I Coach

I am a PGA of America Associate and utilize my extensive golf experience to develop players. I want to positively impact the lives of others. It's fun to help my players achieve and exceed their potential. I'm incredibly motivated when players are successful and when they grow as people. Equipping my players to have successful golf careers, jobs, marriages, and lives is truly my vocation. I love building winning cultures. So much is accomplished when people are aligned as a group and are working together. The student-athletes of Freed-Hardeman University are an encouragement to me. I can't think of a better place to be.

Meet the Team

Our talented group of team personnel, players, and athletic staff is committed to creating a memorable experience for our student-athletes. Whether it's our media management team, our graduate/student assistants, our athletic trainers, or our athletic director, our entire team has a passion for Freed-Hardeman Golf.
