HENDERSON — Freed-Hardeman University is inviting golfers, alumni, friends and community supporters to tee off for the 2026 Annual Golf Scramble at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, at Chickasaw Golf Course. The four-person scramble is one of the FHU Golf Program's premier fundraising events. Team registration is $500 and includes green fees, a golf cart, catered lunch, tee gifts and tournament prizes.

"Every year this tournament reminds us how much support our program has from alumni, friends and the Henderson community," Head Golf Coach Randall Rhodes said. "That encouragement means a great deal to our players. We're looking forward to seeing everyone and having a fun day on the course."

FHU enters the 2026-27 season with an exciting mix of experienced returners and eight  talented incoming players who have enjoyed successful high school, junior and collegiate careers. Together, the team will compete in tournaments across Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi and Tennessee.

Proceeds from the scramble help provide additional support for the FHU Golf Program, including travel, uniforms, equipment and other resources that enhance the student-athlete experience throughout the season.

Hole Sponsors ($100) receive signage at one hole during the tournament. Bronze Sponsors ($250) receive hole signage and recognition on the event welcome banner. Silver Sponsors ($500) receive those benefits plus two season passes to FHU Lions athletic events. Gold Sponsors ($1,000) receive hole signage, banner recognition, four season passes, two mulligans per player and entry for one four-person team.
